Wayne Thomas Pistello, of Kirkville, NY, a loving father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away peacefully on December 23, 2021 at the Francis House in Syracuse, New York.
Wayne was 72, born and raised in Jamesville, New York. He was the son of late Darleen and Peter Pistello. He attended Jamesville Dewitt High School, served in the US Airforce and spent his career as a forklift mechanic, most recently working for Mullen Industry before he retired.
He is survived by his three children: Tracie (Jamie) Stanton, Trisha (John) Tymkiw and Matthew (Nicole) Pistello; his four grandchildren: Braela and Brenna Stanton, Ryan and Emily Tymkiw; and his great grandson: Jaxten Silvernail.
He is also survived by seven siblings: Darleen (Gary) Scofield, Jim (Joanne) Pistello, Antonia (Bob) Hamilton, Joe (Kathy) Pistello, David (Lane) Pistello, Tony (Linda) Pistello and Mark (Mel) Pistello. He was preceded in death by his brother Peter (Ada) Pistello.
Wayne loved spending time with his family, and always had a huge smile on his face that lit up the room. He loved golfing, bowling, Star Wars, playing video games and homemade Italian sauce.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to the Francis House, 108 Michaels Ave, Syracuse New York 13208.
A private funeral will be held in spring of 2022. Burial with Military Honors will be made in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Jamesville. Wayne and his family are in the care of Jeffrey T.
