Born May 11, 1941, and raised in Oriskany Falls, NY, Sybil moved to Madison then Hamilton then on to Oneida which she has called home for over 40 years. As a young woman Sybil worked for the Waterville Knitting Mill then she went to work for the Madison County Department of Social Services. Sybil was employed by, “the County” for 35 years, where she met and made friends with many wonderful coworkers. Sybil was always willing to lend a hand to help those around her and enjoyed bringing little gifts or trinkets to those she cared about. After retirement Sybil volunteered at the Saint Patrick’s Food Cupboard and the Oneida Healthcare Extended Care facility.
Sybil enjoyed taking walks, especially with her little dogs, decorating her home, helping others and talking to her neighbors. She also loved football, especially Norte Dame. Most of all Sybil loved animals. She always had pets in her home, often 2 or 3. She donated regularly to various programs to help animals in need.
