Stephen Montana Obituary

Oneida-Stephen C. Montana, 72, passed away peacefully on Saturday morning, February 18, 2023, at his home with the love and support of his family at his side, following a long and courageous battle against cancer.

Steve was born in Brooklyn on October 19, 1950 the son of the late Joseph and Angelina Scuderi  Montana. He was raised in Parsippany, NJ. He graduated high school and furthered his education by attending college. Steve had made his career in retail for many various companies mostly in managerial positions. He most recently worked for AutoZone Store of Oneida. Steve’s Harley Motorcycle was his “main” ride. He also was a collector of classic beer steins. He was a lawn mowing fanatic, keeping his lawn to golf course standards. Steve was a connoisseur of horror movies, and could tell you the plot of any horror movie filmed. Most of all, Steve was a devoted dad to his children. He cherished anytime he could be with them, no matter the occasion.

Steve leaves behind his beloved children who will miss his presence dearly, they include: his sons, Zachary Montana and Michael Montana; his beloved daughters, Jessica Montana and Michelle Cupo; his brothers John Montana and Robert Montana; and his sister Janice Sommers. Steve is also survived by nieces, nephews, and close friends.

He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Angelina.

In keeping with Steve’s wishes, there are no services at this time. His family and friends will come together at a future date to celebrate Steve’s life.
