Robert L. Hamilton

Robert Leslie Hamilton, 79, a lifelong resident of Rochester, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2024.  Born in Rochester, New York, on December 12, 1944, at General Hospital, he was the first-born son of Robert Gordon Hamilton and Ellen Mary (Webber) Hamilton.  

Robert graduated from the Rochester School for the Deaf, Class of 1963.  After graduation, he pursued further education, taking classes at Gallaudet University and Rochester Institute of Technology.  He married his high school sweetheart, Antonia Ann Pistello in St. Helen's church on August 27, 1966.  They recently celebrated 57 years of marriage. 

For 27 years, Robert dedicated himself to ITEK as a model maker, contributing his skills and passion to his work.  

A devoted father, Robert enjoyed taking his children on various adventures, including camping trips.  His commitment extended to creating a warm and loving home, where he undertook numerous projects to ensure his wife and children enjoyed a fulfilling and happy life.  

Robert's memory will forever be cherished by his beloved wife, Antonia, and their children, Allen (Peggy) Hamilton of Austin, TX; Joe (Deirdre) Hamilton of Rochester, NY; Christina (David) Sicoli of Austin, TX; and Chris (Jody) Hamilton of Austin, TX.  He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Amelia Hamilton (Tanner), Cody Hamilton, Peyton Hamilton, Dylan Sicoli, Keaton Hamilton, Jayden Hamilton, Connor Hamilton, Leila Sicoli, Cayson Hamilton, Kylar Sicoli, and Jake Hamilton, and step-grandchildren, Emma Wenger and Trey Wenger.  He is also survived by his brother, Elbert Hamilton, and two sisters, Judy Hamilton Donovan and Donna Hinchcliffe and a host of devoted nieces, nephews, and cousins.  

The family expresses gratitude for the support and condolences during this difficult time. Robert's legacy of love and devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
