Peter Kampf

Peter “Kevin” Kampf age 72, of Oneida NY passed on Monday July 25, 2022, at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center surrounded by his family.

He was born on Sept 27th, 1949, in Oneida NY, the son of Peter and Nellie Rutan Kampf.   He was a graduate of Stockbridge Valley High School.  On July 4, 2002, Kevin was united in marriage to Valerie Barringer.  Kevin retired from Madison County Solid Waste after 25 years of driving truck.   He also drove truck for several other local companies.  

Kevin is survived by his beloved wife, Valerie; his children:  Holdridge (Carmina) Greene, Desirae Kampf, Joshua (Samantha) Greene, and Gabriel Kampf; his siblings:  Melody (Richard) Babcock, Terry (Shirley) Kampf, Tammy (Ed) Pagan and sister-in-law Barbara Kampf.   Kevin is also survived by 3 grandchildren: Zoey, Damon and Theia and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is predeceased by his first wife Esther “Rusty” Ward Kampf, his father and mother Peter and Nellie Kampf; and his brother Nicholas Kampf.

Family time was always important to Kevin, and he especially enjoyed any time he was able to spend with his grandchildren.  He had an amazing smile that would brighten anyone’s day.  Kevin will be deeply missed by all. 

A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Sunday July 31st, 2022, at the Morrisville Community Church, 3824 Swamp Road, Morrisville.   Following the service, the interment will be held at the Sunnyside Cemetery, Merrillsville.  In lieu of flowers – donations can be made to the Sunnyside Cemetery.  Kevin’s family has entrusted the arrangement to the Coolican-McSweeney & Paul Funeral Home 322 Washington Avenue in Oneida NY.
