Naomi J. Genther

Clark Mills-Naomi J. Genther, 71, passed away in the care of her family’s love on Friday, July 21, 2023, at the Abraham House in Rome.

Naomi was born in Oneida on January 31, 1952, the daughter of the late Gerald R. and Helen A. Sobik Boyd. She was raised in Oneida and graduated from Oneida High School. She furthered her education by obtaining a hairdresser’s license. Naomi had been a cosmetology teacher at the Oneida-Madison BOCES. She later moved to Florida, where she practiced cosmetology for many years, later moving back to Clark Mills. She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses faith.

Naomi is survived by her closest friends, whom she considered as family, Candice Gorton of New Hartford, and Samantha and Anthony Rienzo of Clark Mills.

In keeping with Naomi’s wishes there will be calling hours. Her family and friends will gather privately to honor Naomi’s life. Naomi and her family are being personally cared for by Jeffrey T.
