Oneida-Mark P. Thomas, 64, who was born on January 11,1959, in Orlando, FL, the son of late George and Mary Howe Thomas; died peacefully at home with his brother Kirk at his side, following a short but courageous battle with cancer.
He was employed by several local area manufacturing companies. Mark’s life’s passion was his music. Along with his brother Kirk, created their band named, “Pudge Band.” Mark has to his credit, forty copy written songs on file with the Library of Congress. His inspiration to his music and family will be deeply missed by all, but well remembered.
Mark is survived by his siblings: Colleen (James) Carson of Canastota, Lynda (Steve) Serviss of Oneida, Robin (James) Phelan of North Carolina, Sunshine (Derek) Person of Oneida, Kirk Thomas of Oneida, and Kim (Brenda) Thomas of Oneida; and his longtime companion, Twila Harvey and her family. Mark is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and his music community friends.
He was predeceased by his parents George and Mary, and his brother Chris Thomas.
In keeping with Mark’s wishes, his family did honor his life privately. His cremation took place at the Waterville Crematorium.
