Linda L. Sestito Soluske

Sylvan Beach-Linda L. Sestito Soluske,72, passed away peacefully with the love and support of her family by her side on Wednesday, April 14, 2021, at the Oneida Healthcare Center.

She was born in Rome on April 21, 1948, the daughter of the late Nicholas J. and Grace Ruscito Sestito.  She was raised in Rome and was a graduate of the former Rome High School.  On December 16, 1977, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Rome, Linda was united in marriage to Richard F. Soluske. Their loving union lasted 41 years until Richard’s passing in 2018.  Linda spent over 30 years working as a beautician for various hair salons.  She had also done clerical work and had been self-employed. She enjoyed her trips with her husband to Atlantic City and Las Vegas.  Her love for her family knew no bounds, she will be deeply missed by all.

Linda is survived by her beloved daughter Michelle Coolican and her husband, Andrew of Vernon, and her cherished granddaughter Emily Coolican.  She is also survived by her brother Neil Sestito of Lee.

Linda was predeceased by her parents, Nicholas J. and Grace, her beloved Richard, and her brother Nicholas Sestito.

There will be a visitation for Linda on Thursday, April 22, from 4-7 PM, under the direction of Jeffrey T. Paul, Funeral Director, at the Coolican-McSweeney Funeral Home, 322 Washington Avenue in Oneida.  Due to the current Covid-19 Crisis, facial masks must be worn, social distancing must be maintained, and adjusted total capacity must be followed.  Funeral services and interment will be private.  To offer a message of condolence or share a memory, please visit: coolican-mcsweeney.com
