Kimberly M. Buell

Oneida-Kimberly M. Buell, 47, passed away shortly after admission to the Oneida Healthcare Center’s Emergency Room, on Monday April 10, 2023, following an apparent cardiac episode.

Kim was born in Oneida on June 3, 1975. She grew up in Canastota under the watchful eye of her mother and second father, Duane and Kathy Risley. Kim was a graduate of Canastota High School.  She was a devoted stay at home mom providing loving care to her children.  On February 24, 2001, Kim married Richard J. Buell.  Kim’s smile would always brighten anyone’s day.  She had a loving and nurturing heart, and was always there to help all in need.  She loved all types of music, especially Bret Michaels and keeping up with the Steve Wilkos Show.  All her nieces and nephews loved Aunt Kim.  She would make any family event a special occasion. Kim volunteered for the Karing Kitchen with her daughter Sabrina.

Kim’s family mourn her sudden passing, and she is survived by her husband Rich; her mother and father Kathy and Duane Risley of Canastota; her maternal grandfather Gerald Boyce of Canastota; her children: Cody Domena of Oneida, Kylee Buell and her fiancé, River Gallup of Canastota, Sabrina Buell of Oneida, Robert Buell of Oneida, Amber Buell of Oneida, Makayla Buell of Cazenovia, and Justin Wallis of North Carolina;  her sisters Paula Cull and her husband Daniel of Auburn, and Danielle Perior of Canastota; Jessica Colvin of Myrtle Beach, SC and Amy Risley of Canton her brothers Anthony Perior and his fiancée, Jodi Neff of Oneida; and Duane James Risley of Edwards, sisters and brothers –in –law: Loni and Richard Petrie of Oneida, Cyndi and Andrew Linton of Hagaman, Mari Lerch of Oneida, Vicki and Floyd Philo of Oneida; her brothers and sisters-in-law Raymond Buell of Oneida and Randall Buell and his fiancée, Sherry Hull,  her cherished nine grandchildren: Mason, Brooklyn, Legend, Ryker, Trinity, Trever, Tripp, Cylus, and Wesley.  Kim is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.

She was predeceased by her maternal grandmother, Betty Boyce and her dad, Anthony (Phil) Perior,  her mother and father-in-law, Richard and Patricia Buell, her brother-in-law Robert “Buford” Buell, her sister-in-law Gerri Palmer, and her brother-in-law Matthew West and brother-in-law, John Lerch.

Funeral services for Kim will be held on Saturday, at 11 AM, April 15, 2023, at the Coolican-McSweeney & Paul Funeral Home. Interment will be in Oneida Castle Cemetery.
