Judith M. Felshaw

Oneida/Weeki Wachee, FL-Judith M. Felshaw, 79, passed away peacefully on October 13, 2022, with her loving family at her side, at Oak Hill Hospital, Brooksville, Florida.

She was born in Syracuse on July 19, 1943, the daughter of the late George and Hilda McCloskey Amlott. Judy grew up in the Eastwood and was a graduate of Henninger High School.  Judy had assisted her husband, George S. Felshaw, Sr., with the operation of their businesses; in addition to help raise her children.  They had owned the former Oneida Fuels, and Moss Haven Mobile Home Park in Tampa, Florida.  They had a joyous union of love and support for each other until George’s passing in 2017. Judy was an active member of the (DAR), Daughters of the American Revolution.  She was also a member of the Colonia Dames, the VFW, and the American Legion. Most importantly   she was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.  Judy loved any occasion that she could gather with her family, they all were all in her heart, first and foremost.   

Judy is survived by her children Judson “Jay” France and Lisa VanBustkirk; her step-children Pauline James and George S. Felshaw Jr.; her brothers: William, Edward, and George; and her sister Suzanne. Judy is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and numerous close friends.

She was predeceased by her parents George and Hilda; her beloved husband of 45 years, George Sr.; her brothers: Donald, Howard, and Jimmy; and her sister Jean.

Judy’s funeral will be held on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 12 PM, (Noon) at the Coolican-McSweeney & Paul Funeral Home, 322 Washington Avenue, Oneida.  There will be a visitation from 11AM until Noon. Her interment will take place on Monday, October 31, 2022, at 1 PM at Crown Hill Memorial Park, New Hartford.   Judy and her family are in the care of Jeffrey T.
