John C. “Jack” Rogers, 82 of Mount Wolf Pennsylvania, passed away September 5, 2021.
He was born in Saratoga Springs, New York on February 19, 1939, the son of Edwin and Beatrice Rogers. John graduated from Saratoga High School and attended Russell Sage College and was on the Saratoga Police Force. On June 1, 1968, at St. Patrick’s Church in Watervliet, Jack married Catherine Vartigian. Jack was a veteran of the United States Army, serving as a member of the military police from 1962-1968. For many years, John was in the restaurant business. Jack and his family moved to Oneida in 1987, managing the Ponderosa Restaurant. Upon his retirement, Jake and Kate moved to Pennsylvania. Jack was a member of the (BPOE #767) or the Oneida Elks Club and was a volunteer for many events.
Surviving is his wife Catherine (Kate); his daughter, Kris Koba; his granddaughter, Ava Koba and his sister-in-law, Patricia Vartigian.
