Bonnie Lynn McCorduck Wallace, 72, originally from Sherrill, NY, left this world too soon on November 3, 2021 after a hard fought battle with cancer. Her love and devotion to her family, faith, and friends gave her great joy.
She was the beloved wife of the late Lee Edward Wallace for 51 years, who passed away on April 2, 2020.
Devoted mother to Lynn Cheri Wallace and Lisa Marie Wallace, and mother-in-law to Jonathan David Larkin.
Adored superstar Grandma to Cortland Audrey Wright, Brooks Wallace Wright, Lillian Marie Wallace-Larkin, and Aaren Donald Wallace-Larkin.
Cherished daughter of Audrey McCorduck Stonger and the late George Edward McCorduck. Sister to Debra Pawlikowski and the late Richard McCorduck.
The simplest pleasures in life brought great happiness to Bonnie. She cheered on her grandchildren at every event, talked every evening with her Mom, and sang Barry Manilow songs with the greatest of enthusiasm. She was legendary for her positive outlook, loved her cream with a little bit of coffee, her butter with a little bit of pasta, and had a sweet tooth that favored black and white cookies and York Peppermint Patties. Most of all, Bonnie found (and shared) the beauty she saw in everything, especially the simple things most take for granted.
A memorial service with family and friends will be held for Lee and Bonnie on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at 1:00PM at the Christ Church United Methodist in Sherrill, NY, with Pastor Bob Kolvik-Campbell officiating. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Coolican-McSweeney & Paul Funeral Home, Oneida, NY.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Bonnie’s memory may be made to the Abington Health Foundation, Asplundh Cancer Pavilion at give.abingtonhealth.org/donate or 1200 Old York Road, Abington, PA 19001. Under Designation, please choose Asplundh Cancer Pavilion. Our sincerest gratitude to Sheel A. Patel, MD and the many special staff who always went above and beyond, and who truly enjoyed Bonnie’s vivacious spirit.
