Canastota-Barbara A. Badgley, 69, passed away peacefully with the love and support of her family at her side, on Monday April 10, 2023, at the Sunnyside Care Center.
She was born in Oneida on August 24, 1953, the daughter of the late Warren and Mary McDermott King. Barb grew up in Oneida and was a graduate of Oneida High School. On September 30, 1983, Barb married William Badgley. She had worked at Oneida Molded Plastics for 14 years. She retired from the workforce due to her health. Barb liked to keep her life simple. She was an avid reader, loved a cold Budweiser, long country car rides. Barb would always take in the beauty that surrounded her, and she had a keen eye to spot deer. Most of all, Barb was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was the “center” of Barb’s world.
Barb is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 39 years, Bill; her cherished children: Sarah Fisher of Canastota, Billy Jo Seeber, and her fiancé John Lewis of Eaton, and Jason (Tonya) Manaseri of Cleveland; her brothers Dennis (Marsha) King and John(Mary Carol) King; beloved grandchildren: Zachary Streeter, Timothy Manaseri, Aries Manaseri, Madison Fisher, Lilly Fisher, Bryson Fisher, Abbeygal Seeber ,and Aaliyah Seeber; one beloved great grandson Micah; several nieces, nephews and close friends also survive Barb.
She was predeceased by her parents Warren and Mary; her sisters Mary Ellen Flagler and Michelle Gross, and her brother David King and her infant brother James King.
Graveside services will be held for Barb on Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at 1:30 PM at the Whitelaw Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. A complete obituary will appear in Sunday’s paper.
