William H. “Bill” Griffiths, Jr., 79, of Cazenovia, passed away Sunday, October 28, 2018 at the Presbyterian Home for CNY in New Hartford.

He was born February 25, 1939 in Utica, the son of the late William H., Sr. and Ruth Doyle Griffiths. He served in the US Navy reserves. For 38 years, Bill worked as a bricklayer and mason with Bricklayers Union Local #3. On July 8, 1984, in Wampsville, he married Elizabeth A. Sherman. She passed away November 19, 2003.

Bill was a member of AmVets Post #384 in Utica and the Vernon American Legion Post #404.

He is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Lynn Griffiths of New York Mills; his Son, William Jeffrey Griffiths of FL; his stepdaughter, Laura LoGiudice of Utica; his cousin, Thomas Canfield of Utica; and his close personal friend, Shirley Waterbury of New Hartford.

A graveside service will be held Thursday at 11 am at Oneida Lake Cemetery, Canastota, with Rev. Frank Loan officiating.

Arrangements are with Coolican-McSweeney Funeral Home, Oneida.
